DESCRIPTION:Join us for a ranger-guided hike on the Big Dig Trail.  This leisurely hike focuses on learning about the scientific expeditions in Tule Springs focusing on the Big Dig. The trail is 2 miles long over uneven terrain with gravely surfaces\, some steps\, and steep slopes. This program is for park visitors of all ages. \nParticipants should plan on arriving at the park at least 15 minutes before the start of the program to give them enough time to check in at the front desk. \nNeed to Know\n\nPets are not allowed for safety purposes.\nMinors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.\nProgram is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.\nMost of the Big Dig Trail is not appropriate for wheelchairs or mobility devices.\n\nWhat to Bring\n\nWater\nComfortable shoes\nWeather-appropriate clothing\nSun protection\n\nWhat to Expect\n\nThis is a ranger-guided hike along the Big Dig Trail.\nThe trail is 2 miles long over uneven terrain with gravely surfaces\, some steps\, and steep slopes.\nThis hike will last about 2-2.5 hours.\nThere are no facilities (restrooms\, water\, etc.) on this trail.\nThe educational content of this program is introductory level.\n\nFees & Registration\n\nThe $3 per person (kids 12 and under are free) entry fee applies.\nThere is no additional cost for this program.\nNo registration required\n\nContact\nThis program is hosted by Ice Age Fossils State Park.
